The supply shuttle docks on a number: 4,444 divided by 11, or 3,876 divided by 17. Four-digit dividends and two-digit divisors are the hardest arithmetic in the fifth grade standards, and the reason is estimation — you cannot recall 17 × 23, you have to approximate and adjust. That is a genuinely different mental habit from anything earlier, and it is why this station takes longer than the others. Five quotients per run, nothing timed.

Students who are fluent with single-digit divisors often stall completely at two digits, because the recall strategy stops working. Encouraging a deliberate first estimate — "17 is about 20, so roughly how many twenties?" — is usually the difference between stuck and moving.
